Have you visited Culture Coffee? The coffee shop in the Fairpark neighborhood is located next to Salt Lake Barber Co., but it’s more than just a spot to get your caffeine fix. The owners were intentional in making this a community hub for Salt Lake City’s west side.
Arcade games (including Pacman), board games, and card games invite guests to stay awhile. And all around the shop you’ll find comic book decor and memorabilia (look up in the rafters to see what hidden figures you can find).
A lot was a labor of love, including tables handcrafted by the owners and a bar made of recycled bowling lane wood. The Culture Coffee team makes most of the syrups in-house. I had a delicious iced lolo caramel latte. Lolo caramel is a Tongan delicacy made with coconut cream.
They often partner with local organizations like the Food Justice Coalition. You can purchase plant-based meals at the shop to help support programs that address food insecurity.
Check out their new hours for your next coffee date at this much-needed third space.
