It’s Not Impossible for Utahns To Win the Lottery
A lucky Californian recently won the record-setting $2.04 billion Powerball. But if Salt Lakers even wanted a chance at that money, they really had to work for it. Utah is one of five states that doesn’t sell lottery tickets, and gambling of any kind is banned here. That means we’re hopping in the car for a road trip to an Idaho gas station in the hopes of buying a life-changing lotto ticket.
It’s a longshot — but it’s not impossible for one of us to win.
Like Samora Magadla, a local flight attendant who scooped up winning tickets twice. Samora joins host Ali Vallarta to answer the usually hypothetical question: What would you do if you won the lottery?
