How To Spend the Perfect Day Around Liberty Park

You can feel it in the air: Winter is coming. But this past weekend, I spent a lovely (dare I say, romantic) day walking around Liberty Park, in hopes of soaking up as much vitamin D as possible. May I note: This was on a Sunday, so you could also consider this part two of the best things to do when a lotta places are closed.

🍩 Chubby Baker

Chubby Baker is a dessert shop best known for their donuts. The passionfruit cream cheese is my personal fave. Their new seasonal menu includes a savory donut with all the holiday fixings — rotisserie chicken, cranberry sauce, stuffing, and a side of gravy (pro tip: ask them to heat it up).

☕️ Loki Coffee

Right next door to Chubby Baker is the newest coffee shop in town, Loki Coffee. They’ll be sourcing delicious pastries from Tomodachi Bake Shoppe. The grand opening is Saturday, Nov. 11 from 9 a.m.- 3 p.m. Can’t wait that long for your coffee fix? Their soft opening is Wednesday-Friday from 8 a.m.- noon.

🛍 Annata Vintage

This vintage shop is in the basement of the old Thyme and Place plant store. They have a curated collection of homeware and apparel. They also have an excellent holiday collection for all your seasonal decorating needs.

👂 ENSO

For a little spontaneous fun, get a piercing at ENSO Piercing + Adornment. I got some cutie little second lobe piercings. You can schedule an appointment ahead of time but they were able to accommodate me as a walk-in.

✏️ City of Industry

There’s always something new to find at City of Industry — from greeting cards to candles. ICYMI, they’re in the space where Animalia used to be (although they’ve kept an “Ani-mini-a” section for all your bulk refill needs).

📚 The Legendarium

Step inside this cozy science fiction/fantasy bookstore to rest your feet and crack into a novel. They also have a small cafe inside if you need to re-fuel.

🍝 Matteo

I didn’t get a chance to stop and eat at Matteo, but this new Italian restaurant looks stunning. It’s on the pricier side, but could be a good date night option. I’ve got my eye on the brownie tiramisu.
