Need a fall staycation idea? Make it a trifecta: Midway, Park City, and Heber City. There’s no better way to describe this area than quaint and cozy, especially now, as the trees on the hillside have already started changing color.
Black Rock Mountain Resort
Located in Heber City with close proximity to Midway and Park City, make Black Rock Mountain Resort home base for your trip. All of their suites include a full kitchen and laundry. Plus, they have a convenient shuttle that’ll take you to various spots around Park City.
But tbh, with a year round outdoor pool, hot tub, steam room and sauna, it’ll be hard convincing anyone to leave the hotel.
👀 Pssst: Use promo code: CITYCAST for 20% off, a $50 resort credit, and 2 p.m. late checkout.
Ritual Chocolate Tasting
Try a chocolate and whiskey tasting at Black Rock Mountain Resort. Or experience a tasting and tour at the Ritual Chocolate factory in Heber City. Either way, you’re in chocolate heaven.
Overlook Restaurant at Black Rock Mountain Resort
Take in those Heber City views at the Overlook Restaurant. Chef Ernesto is at the helm and brings big flavors with big experience (over two decades working in the industry). The funeral potatoes are a must try.
Dandelion Gelato
Dandelion Gelato is the sister store to The Pizza Yard in Midway and opened over the summer. And really, what goes better with pizza than gelato? They keep things simple with only a few flavors but each is so tasty.
Ballerina Farm Store
Despite being a certified raw milk hater, I had to visit Ballerina Farm to see what the hype was about. I love specialty food stores, so I thought it was really cute and a great place to grab a gift for someone (especially if that someone wants to start making sourdough from scratch).
Lola’s Street Kitchen
Lola’s Street Kitchen is a local fave for yummy chicken sandwiches, gyros, and burgers. Sit on the patio for people watching and taking in the views.
Kringle’s Midway
A visit to a Hallmark-movie-worthy town wouldn’t be complete without a stop at Kringle’s Midway, a year-round Christmas store that even looks like a gingerbread house.
