In the 1920s/1930s, historic 25th St. in Ogden (also known as Two-Bit street) was one of the most dangerous streets in America due to gambling, illegal speakeasies, and opium dens. Allegedly, it was even too rough for Al Capone.
Fast forward to today, it’s listed among the best places in the U.S. to raise a family and home to the Ogden Twilight concert series which begins this Saturday with M86. If you were able to snag tickets to the sold-out show, why not make a day trip out of it. Here’s what to do on Ogden’s Two-Bit Street:
A convenient way to get up north is to hop on the FrontRunner. It’s only about a 15-minute walk from the Ogden Station to the Ogden Amphitheater. If you do have a Twilight ticket, you ride for free!
Choo choo! First stop, the museum at Union Station. See old-timey modes of transportation including one-of-a-kind automobiles and big locomotives.
Are you a fan of boba tea? Grab a sweet drink at Pearl Milk Tea Club. The smoothie bobas are popular but I’m a classic milk tea girl.
Peruse the aisles at Lavender Vinyl, a queer-owned record store with a wide selection of genres.
Take in some art at the Ogden Contemporary art gallery and then head to the gift shop Art Box for unique local goods.
A modern American restaurant that’s only a 10-minute walk from the concert venue. Try their beef stroganoff and the pineapple upside down cake.
