Leavity Bread, formerly Bread Riot Bakehouse, makes a flavorful laganes bread (which is a Greek flatbread) covered in black and white sesame seeds and fennel seeds. Visit their new bakery and cafe in the Ballpark neighborhood, or find their loaves at Liberty Heights Fresh and Caputoâs Market.
Quail Street Sourdough sells (and even ships!) starter, if youâre dipping your foot into bread making but arenât ready to fully commit. Whatâs even better is you can use the starter to make pizza, baguettes, focaccia, crackers â the possibilities are endless!
