Sometimes you just crave a good sammie. City Cast Salt Lake host Ali Vallarta is convinced we don’t have enough good options in the area, so I put a call out in the newsletter. Here are some Hey Salt Lake reader recommendations for the best sandwiches.

Reader Picks

Grove Market. Always and forever!” — Saje D.

“Best sandwich shop for us is Oh Mai, any of their bahn mi sandwiches. Our favorite is the vegetarian with lemongrass and a kick of jalapeno.” — Carrie D.

“Hands down, Central 9th Market. Both their breakfast sandwiches and lunch sandwiches are *chef’s kiss*” — Kerry M.

“I live in Bountiful, and everyone’s favorite sandwich spot here is Vito‘s on Main Street. The owner’s name is Neil Witbeck, and he is a one-man show! He has a line out the door, Monday through Friday from 11 a.m.- 2 p.m. I recommend the alfredo Philly, which of course has steak, onions, and peppers, and is topped with his amazing homemade alfredo sauce.” — Lindsay K.

Blatch's Backyard BBQ (voted best BBQ in SLC) has amazing sandwiches! The Pretzel monster is fantastic.” — Michelle M.

Buds, no contest! Literally, the one place I told my friend he had to go on his visit to SLC.” — Esther M.

My Pick

Try the Cubano at Beltex Meats. They only have them on Saturdays until sold out. It’s pressed super thin and has a crunch on the outside. You got your meats, melty cheese, pickle, mustard — the gang's all here!

Did we miss your favorite sandwich shop?
