This week, I got the chance to live out my cookie monster dreams and try some of the best chocolate chip cookies that Salt Lake has to offer.

This popped up on my feed as “the best cookie I’ve ever had,” and I was immediately sold. Brown butter ✅ Flaky salt ✅ Gooey center ✅

This family-owned business started in Laie, Hawaii and now has a location in the Woodbine Food Hall. Of course, they have the classic OG cookie, but what sets them apart is the pizookie, a warm, made-to-order cookie topped with vanilla ice cream 🤤 Chunky & Co. is open until 9 p.m. for your late-night cookie craving.

Full disclosure: I used to be a baker at The Rose Establishment, but I still always come back for the chocolate chip cookie. To me, it’s a classic and consistently solid.

I came for the pizza but was pleasantly surprised to find chocolate chip cookies there, too. Y’all, this thing was tasty. If there was ever a time to use the phrase “flavortown,” this would be it. My partner and I have very different taste in cookies, but we both loved this one.

Meg of Tomodachi Bake Shoppe makes incredible baked goods, and her cookies are no exception. The miso brown butter chocolate chip cookie is perfectly salty, chewy, and has chopped-up chocolate dispersed in each bite.

What did I miss?
