Your Guide to September in Salt Lake

00:00:00

To me, September is a perfect blend of late-summer adventures and the coziness of fall. The heat finally begins to wane, and you feel that crisp air on your evening walk. Maybe you’re pulling out your sweaters and curling up with a good book or your favorite comfort show? Whatever your mood, this city is buzzing with things to do. Here’s how to make the most of September in Salt Lake.

💐 Flower Farm

In the last days of summer, take a trip to Dutch Hollow Farms in Benjamin, Utah, near Spanish Fork (about an hour south of SLC). It’s a flower farm that holds “u-pick” events, so you can pick your own bouquet.

✏️ Continued Education

This time of year makes me nostalgic for back-to-school. Well, less the school part and more the learning part. The University of Utah and Salt Lake Community Schools have a variety of continuing education classes that start this month. Backcountry yoga? Scottish country dancing? Bluegrass banjo? Sign me up!

🍝 Food Fests

We’re eating good in the neighborhood, with all the upcoming food festivals:

💲 City Library

All month long, use your City Library card for discounts at over 30 local businesses, including The King’s English, Picnic Cafe, SLC Qi Community Acupuncture, and the Natural History Museum of Utah. Both virtual and physical cards will work. At this point, what can’t your library card do?

☕ PSL Fall

It’s pumpkin spice latte season, y’all. Arguably, the best time of the year. Head to your favorite neighborhood coffee shop to get your fall latte fix. Culture Coffee will have a pumpkin lolo caramel latte on the menu. And I always love grabbing Publik Coffee’s seasonal creations.
